In order to be eligible to receive SSDI benefits, a claimant must have a qualifying disability. The Administration has deemed certain physical and mental disorders as qualifying for SSDI benefits. Some of these include:

Eligibility

There are a number of criteria that need to be met by a claimant in order to be eligible for SSDI benefits, including

1) The claimant must have a qualifying disability
2) The disability must have greatly affected the claimant's ability to work in the past year
3) The claimant must have been disabled before reaching the age of retirement (65 - 67)

Medical Analysis
